Fambot reads your family's email. We don't take that lightly.
This page explains, in plain language, exactly what Fambot sees, what we do with it, who else touches it, and how to make all of it go away if you change your mind. If anything here is unclear, tell us and we'll rewrite it.
We never sell your personal information — not to advertisers, not to anyone.
AI providers are not permitted to train on your data.
We only look at what we need to build your plan.
You can disconnect and delete everything, whenever you want.
Fambot works by connecting to two things you already use.
• Your email. So Fambot can find the school newsletters, sign-up deadlines, bills, and schedule changes buried in your inbox.
• Your calendar. So Fambot can put what it finds where it belongs, and spot conflicts before they become problems.
You connect these yourself, through your provider's own sign-in screen. Fambot never sees or stores your password — your account provider handles that — and you can revoke Fambot's access from your Google account settings at any time, without going through us.
Fambot looks at the mail arriving in your inbox to find what's family-related: schedule changes, deadlines, sign-ups, school newsletters, sports schedules, appointments, and bills.
For the emails we identify as family-related, we store the details we extract and the events, tasks, and summaries we generate from them — that's what your daily plan is made of.
Everything else is left alone. Your work mail, your personal correspondence, your shopping receipts: we don't store them, we don't send them to an AI provider.
Fambot uses AI to turn a pile of scattered information into something useful — action items, calendar events, and a plan for your day.
That work happens at AI providers we contract with. Right now those are OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google — the companies behind ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Different jobs suit different models, so which one handles a given request depends on the task. For emails we've identified as family-related, we send the content those models need to do the job.
What that means in practice:
• They use your content only to answer the specific request we send. Nothing else.
• They are not permitted to train their models on your data. That's written into our agreements with them.
• Your content is deleted within 30 days.
• We send the minimum that gets the job done — not your whole mailbox.
Fambot runs on a small number of vendors. We contractually limit what each one can do with your information, and none of them may use it for their own purposes.
This list changes as Fambot grows. When we add or switch a provider, we'll update this page before the change takes effect, and we'll let you know in the app so you can decide whether you're still comfortable.

• Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Connections use OAuth, the standard secure sign-in your provider runs. Fambot never handles or stores your password.
• Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to keep Fambot running, and it's logged.
• You choose which calendars Fambot can see.
Fambot is built for parents. The account holder is an adult — children don't create accounts, don't log in, and don't interact with Fambot.
But family logistics means children's information: names, schools, activities, and schedules. If you're a parent or guardian setting up Fambot for your household, you're consenting on their behalf to that information being handled as described on this page. You can remove it at any time, and deleting your account deletes it too.
Disconnect your email or calendar anytime in Settings. You can also revoke Fambot's access directly from your Google account. Either way, Fambot stops receiving anything new immediately.
Ask us to delete your data — in Settings, or by emailing support@fambot.com — and we'll remove it from Fambot, typically within a few days. Some records may be held longer where the law requires it, or where we need them to prevent fraud and abuse.
The timing above is about Fambot's own systems. Separately, the AI providers who process your content delete it within 30 days of receiving it. Those are two different things, and both apply.
Fambot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
• We use Google user data only to provide and improve the features you've asked for.
• We don't transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
• We never use Google user data for advertising.
• We don't allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your explicit permission, it's necessary for security or to comply with the law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
• No Google user data is used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Fambot sends service messages — your daily plan, reminders, and things that need your attention — by text or email, based on the preferences you set. These aren't marketing messages.
Reply STOP to any text to opt out of SMS, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. You can change what Fambot sends you, and how, in Settings at any time.
